Tomo Cerovšek is a RICS Certified BIM Manager and Certified Structural Engineer, currently serving as a Professor at the University of Ljubljana where he also leads BIM technology transfer. His academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Computer Integrated Construction, Stanford PBL master course, , complemented by a graduate background in civil engineering and architecture.
His teaching expertise encompasses BIM, digital design, and process modeling. He lectured as guest professor in Ireland, Portugal and Italy. He is a founding member and a local coordinator of EU Master of Building Information Modelling – BIM A+. His research interests include AEC design, project information management, BIM and DT.
In practice, he possesses extensive experience in BIM technology transfer and has spearheaded impactful pilot projects and implementation of BIM on various projects. He is active in local and international professional communities and standardization.
