Ohrid

Ohrid is a city in the southwestern part of Macedonia, on the northeast coast of Ohrid Lake. Ohrid and Lake Ohrid are one of the main tourist destinations in Macedonia. Due to the large number of churches and monasteries, the city of Ohrid is known as Balkan and European Jerusalem. It is also known as the “City of Light”, a literal translation of its old name, Lychnidos. The Ohrid region is included in the UNESCO World Heritage.

North Macedonia

Republic of North Macedonia is located in Southeast Europe, in the central part of the Balkan Peninsula. It has a position of a strategic crossroad and some kind of a bridge between Europe and the nearby countries of Asia and North Africa. Republic of North Macedonia belongs to the group of countries from the so-called Western Balkans. It is surrounded by the following neighbours – Serbia and Kosovo to the north, Bulgaria to the east, Greece to the south, and Albania to the west.

Macedonia as a state is part of the contemporary international political scene since gaining independence from the Yugoslav Federation and is its active subject both on a bilateral and multilateral level. But when it comes to conditions and data imposed by history and culture, it can be said that Republic of North Macedonia is one of the older European and world civilizations within the Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman Empire.

Instructions for abstract submission

Official languages of the Symposium are Macedonian and English.

The abstract should be prepared using the provided Abstract template. The Abstracts (first pages of the papers) will be printed in the Book of Abstracts, while the full text of the paper will be distributed in digital format.

Instructions for paper submission

Papers should be prepared using the provided template, following these rules:

• total number of pages should not exceed 10, except for invited and introductory papers, which are limited to 14 pages.
• The text should be written in Macedonian or English.
• The paper should be submitted in electronic format (Microsoft Word and PDF) for possible editing and final preparation for publishing, using the link provided below.
• Page numbering, insertion of the Symposium logo, etc., will be done by the Editorial board.

Together with the final version of the paper, the authors should submit a proof for the registration fee payment.

Power Point and Poster presentations of the papers should be prepared only in English.
